IAG and Exedy have partnered to create the IAG Spec Exedy Triple Disc Clutch, engineered for high-powered 2004–2021 Subaru STIs equipped with modified 6-speed (T56 / 26 spline) manual transmissions. Designed for street and track use, this clutch handles an impressive 923 ft-lbs of torque—over 150 ft-lbs more than the standard Exedy FM023SB—providing the ultimate balance of drivability and performance.

Features:

  • For Modified Transmissions Only: Compatible with 6-speed T56 / 26 spline transmissions. Not compatible with OEM 24-spline input shafts.
  • Triple Disc Design: Increases torque capacity and heat distribution for reliable power transfer under extreme conditions. Some rattling is normal when the clutch is depressed or in neutral.
  • Cerametallic Clutch Discs: Designed for high-heat, high-performance driving, ideal for racing or repeated aggressive engagement.
  • Pull-Type Throwout Bearing: Uses the OEM STI pull-type bearing and slave cylinder—no conversion to push-type required. Includes throwout and pilot bearings.
  • Rigorously Tested: Proven in record-setting VA chassis STI drag cars, capable of repeated 8-second passes with a smooth, linear pedal feel.
  • Transmission Compatibility: Works with upgraded T56 / 26 spline input shafts; pairs well with the PPG V2 1st–4th Drag Gear Set for enhanced durability.

Note: This clutch kit will not work with the OEM Subaru STI input shaft. Designed to fit MODIFIED 6 Speed Manual Transmission with T56 / 26 Spline Input Shaft from 2004-2021 Subaru STI. *This type of input shaft can be found in automotive racing gearboxes like the Pfitzner Performance Gearbox (PPG) dogbox.
